Ellis Williams is an inspirational storyteller who has earned a reputation as a musician whose music holds no boundaries. A vocalist and trumpet virtuoso, his music commands attention for the powerful energy it radiates.
With over twenty-five years in the music business, he has worked with various genres from Jazz, Funk, R&B, and more. The gifted musician stands tall as an experimental artist with an open heart.
An Afro Cuban American born in Brooklyn, New York, he now resides in Richmond, Virginia. Music made its mark from an early age; stepping into a recording studio with his mother fuelled his musical vision. After obtaining a place at Norfolk State University, he received a Bachelors in Music Media and later a Master's in Business Entertainment from Full sail University.
In 2016, "Call the Battle" was released, an eleven-track album with various collaborators; it peaked on the CMJ Jazz charts. Performing at multiple events, he has played at Busch Gardens, Carnival Cruise Lines and appeared at festivals throughout the eastern United States with Virginia’s own,"Good Shot Judy”.
In 2017, Ellis founded "E Willz Entertainment,” a company that focuses on "artist & brand development." The company has since released the "E Willz Entertainment Music Catalog," an online database featuring one-stop music for brands, television, and films.
An informative music artist, Ellis is the producer & host of podcast such as “Trumpet Vybes," a show that explores the world of the music industry through the perspective of a trumpeter. In his spare time Ellis tutors the next generation of talent through vocal and trumpet lessons in the Gloucester and Petersburg areas.
